Filesharing mit BitTorrent vor dem aus?

Urheberrechtsverletzungen haben heuer für zahlreiche Edonkey bzw. eMule-Websites das Aus bedeutet; nun wird es für BitTorrent auch enger. Nicht nur die unzähligen Schliessungen machen dem Filesharing-Netz zu schaffen, sondern auch wachsender Druck seitens BREIN auf Leaseweb (Niederlande), weshalb der Provider die in Frage kommenden angeschrieben hat, bis zum 1. Dezember umzuziehen (bzw. aufzugeben).

Mehrere eD2K-Server von IFPI abgeschaltet

Die Deutschen Phonoverbände (IFPI) haben mehrere Betreiber von eDonkey-Servern “überzeugt” diese vom Netz zu nehmen. IFPI meldet, daß es sich um die weltweit größten Server des Filesharing-Netzwerkes handelt, und die Nutzung der Tauschbörse stark beeinträchtigt werden. Somit soll seit Jahresbeginn die Abschaltung von 16 Servern erreicht worden sein, jedoch noch nicht ein Ende abzusehen sein.

IFPI geht gegen eDonkey-Server-Betreiber vor

Ein schwarzer Freitag, der 13. für die (illegale) Verbreitung von Musik für einen Hamburger, der einen Server für eMule/eDonkey betrieben hat. Das Landgericht (LG) Hamburg habe “in einer jetzt zugestellten einstweiligen Verfügung den Anbieter eines eDonkey-Servers dazu verurteilt, seinen Rechner vom Netz zu nehmen, solange dort illegale Musikdateien zum Download angeboten werden”, teilte die deutsche Landesgruppe der IFPI mit (Az. 308 O 273/07).
